Lately hundreds of people are complaining that there google ads have stopped appearing on their website or if the ads are showing the impressions are very less. There are many threads in Google AdSense community about ads not appearing on publisher web sites. There is no official reply from adsense on how to fix the problem and how long it is going to last.

Here are a few things you can do to make sure that adds start showing on your website

1. Make sure you have implemented ads.txt on your website

ALL sites now need to have this ads.text file located on their servers. Its pretty simple to do just follow these instructions –
Then just wait a few days for the Adsense bot to pick it up and the message will go away. If you don’t know which site, just apply it to all of them!

Create your own ads.txt file for AdSense

Here’s how to create an ads.txt file to publicly declare that Google is authorised to sell your ad inventory:

  1. Create a text (.txt) file.
  2. Include the following line:google.com, pub-0000000000000000, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0Important: Make sure that you replace pub-0000000000000000 with your own publisher ID.
  3. Host your ads.txt file at the root level of your domain. (for example, https://example.com/ads.txt).

2. Make sure your ads.txt file is indexed

” For anyone who got ads.txt problem notification even after you add correct Google publisher Id on ads.txt for few days probably your ads.txt not crawled by Google bot. I got this problems for about 36hours, then I go to search console and check if my ads.txt indexed by Google or not, in my case it’s not getting indexed so I just request that ads.txt url to getting crawled.  After 4-6 hours, my ads.txt is indexed on Google search console and my ads impression return to normal. “

It certainly seems as if a large number of publishers are affected, however the cause remains unclear. It would be helpful if you could post here so that the scale and nature of the issue can be discussed. Please share information such as your site’s address and any observations you may have.
